Elizabeth Carr

Elizabeth M. Carr joined M.S. Rau with more than twenty years of experience specializing in fine jewelry, bringing a deep appreciation for exceptional gemstones, historic jewels and the stories they carry. A Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York, she has built her career working with both vintage and antique jewelry as well as important contemporary pieces.

Drawn to M.S. Rau by its reputation as one of the nation's premier destinations for fine art, antiques and jewelry, Elizabeth combines her expertise in provenance, valuation and market knowledge with a client-first approach built on trust and collaboration. She enjoys helping collectors feel informed and confident while guiding them toward acquisitions they will treasure for a lifetime.

Elizabeth has a particular passion for Art Deco jewelry, rare diamonds and colored gemstones, while her interests also extend to Neo-Impressionist art. Outside the gallery, she enjoys antiquing, reading, cooking and exploring nature. A lifelong collector of gemstones, jewelry, mineral specimens and seashells, her fascination with the natural world began at just six years old with a childhood rock tumbler—an early spark that grew into a lifelong passion and career.
